Wow, the things that happen in a 5 year period.
My boys are now men. My baby turns 18 tomorrow.
Brody said, mom does it make you feel old to know that you have 2 Adult children?
Well, I guess it just it just says that yes I am older. I can't believe how quickly time flies.
It's been 5 years since I posted anything.
I changed jobs. I teach high school, now. Whew, I do love what I do. It just took me 22 years to get to the job I went to college to do. God has truly blessed me and my family over the years.
My husband is cured from cancer, praise God!

It's been a while.

Can't believe how long it's been since I posted. Guess with my 3 men I stay pretty busy.
Started exercising as my New Years Resolution. Happy to announce I'm 18 lbs lighter. I feel much better. But I love that my fat clothes are starting to fall off me. YEAH!!!!! Just about 40 more pounds to go. I've tried this so many different times. I just thank God he's let me find one that works and that I don't mind sticking to.

New Year

How exciting 2009 appears to be getting off to a winning start. I've selected my scripture to memorize John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you. Isn't GOD amazing, even today he wants us to have what we desire.

Also, I've made it to 50 sit ups and pushups a day. I must keep this up my kids started out at 100 each a day. I'll make it.

New Year's Resolutions

Today, my pastor talked about New Year's Resolutions. Always I've said I'm gonna loose weight. Ok, last year I said I'm gonna get healthy (meaning the same thing). Still the same weight. Oh well! Maybe this year.

Pastor Greg talked about New Year's Resolutions @ what are you gonna do for God this year. If you hadn't thought about it. He asked us to pray what it is in 2009 that God wants us to do for him........ Never really thought about it like that. What an eye opening, ear opening message.

I hope that all of us start to think like that.

Imagine what could be done this year if we all listen to God about what to do this year.

Thanksgiving Day

Well it's here and I need to write what I am thankful for:

1. God saving my soul

2. Family- immediate and extended

3. Home

4. Job- in this economy

5. Friends

6. Car

7. Church family

8. Health

9. Food

10. Clothing

11. being able to read (my bible)

I'm sure I could go on and on and on. But I think this will help me begin this day with the correct thought in mind.

Now, I gotta go call my sister, cuz we always talk to each other on the phone while we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. One day when our kids are grown,we laugh and say we're going to that parade, because we've watched it since we were little.

Thanksgiving

I'm so excited tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I decided to take our pastor's suggestion, that the first thing I do tomorrow is to make a list of what I am thankful for. Before running around to everybody's house, before cooking, etc. I want this to truly be a season of THANKS to God.
